Good Morning, Coffee Drinkers ~
It is a “beautiful day in the neighborhood” in Kalispell, MT. The sun is shining and the trees are pretty and frosty.
I took the time to prepare a decaf cappuccino for myself this morning. You can be so proud of your decaf espresso. As you know, in Kenneth David’s Coffee Review, he compared our decaf espresso to that of Illy’s. It is classic and rich in flavor. The espresso is rich as caramel and smooth as chocolate. What a luscious drink with perfectly steamed milk and thick foam. A cappuccino is best when drinking without a lid on the cup or through a straw. The foam adds sweetness to your drink that is unique to properly steamed milk.
Please refer to your training manual for proper steaming techniques, and ask for clarification if you have questions. This is a good time to encourage you to brush up on your espresso pulling techniques.
While practicing your espresso and milk steaming techniques, consider the investment of a gallon of milk and a pound of espresso as money well spent to improve the quality of your drinks.
Coffee sales are steady nationally and customers are still enjoying their favorite cup of java. Quality drinks and customer service are important as clients determine the value and if your shop is where they choose to spend their hard earned dollars.
Have a great week!
